The morning after my first lyrical class, I felt fine. Which was slightly odd seeing as how I hadn’t danced properly in over a year or attempted sit-ups in about three.

Don’t wear black opaques when it’s hot out (even if it is still April
and could rain at any minute) especially if you have outdoor errands
to run that involve a really long walk and two heavy garment bags.
Chaffing is inevitable.

Someone offered me their seat on the train this evening because they thought I was pregnant, and I was too embarrassed not to take it.
Won’t be belting my trench coat again in a hurry…

Today felt like I’d been transported back to 1980, to the New York High School of Performing Arts, where all these dancers twisted and contorted their bodies into ridiculous shapes as they stretched in all their AA-clad glory, and I was lost.
